Winter Conditions in Rail Transport<\/h4>\n

In the winter of 2009\/2010, technical problems occurred in rail transport. Across Europe, trains were stranded mid-route or could only continue their journey with reduced power because snow that had penetrated the rail vehicles had rendered electrical components inoperable. Filtering snow is very difficult because there can be thousands of very different snow crystals, which can transform from one crystal type to another, even within seconds, depending on the climatic conditions.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

The goal is to prevent snow from entering the rail vehicle, while also avoiding the blockage of fresh air and exhaust ducts by snow or ice.
